Posted Feb 7, 2018

Before Registration be sure you can play for NSLL.  Your player needs to live or attend school with in the North Snohomish League Bondaries.  If you played with us last season and have moved you can still play for NSLL.

Field Work Days

To get our fields in shape at the beginning of each season we hold spring cleaning & field work days over two weekends.

Upper Level Work Days:

March 3rd and 4th

Lower Level Work Days:

March 10th and 11th

As an entirely volunteer organization, the North Snohomish Little League relies on players, coaches, and parents donating their time to get the complex into shape and keep it in good condition. The more volunteers, both adults and kids, who come out to work on the complex, the better. A ton of work is often required to get the fields and complex ready for the upcoming season.

Items you can bring to the Field Work Days:

  • Gloves
  • Rakes
  • Shovels
  • Weed pulling tools
  • Weed buners
  • Weed eaters
  • Wheelbarrows or wagons

Larger equipment, such as field mowers and tractors, are also needed. In addition, NSLL is always in need of replacement sod and other landscaping materials. If you are able to bring any of these, or if you have any other equipment or material that may be of use, please contact the NSLL Fields Coordinator Ryan Ellis, the NSLL President, Tyler Cruze, or the NSLL Board.

Thank you in advance for taking pride in our fields and working together to get them ready for the Spring season!

In-Season Maintenance

While the great work during the field work days has put our complex in great shape for the start of the season, we rely upon volunteers to help keep the complex in good shape throughout the season. There is a lot of work that needs to be done:

  • Mowing the playing surfaces of all 10 fields, twice per week during the high growth season
  • Mowing the common areas within the complex, at least once per week
  • Weedeating around fence lines, fence posts, grandstands, the playground, and other areas as needed
  • Raking the infield dirt around the bases (pulling dirt from high areas into low areas)
  • Repairing holes in the mounds and in the batters boxes
  • Cleaning up garbage that has been carried by the wind
  • Emptying garbage cans before they are overflowing (the dumpster is by the complex entrance)
  • Cleaning up dugouts and socrebooths after every practice or game
  • Any other task you can think of that would help keep our complex one of the best in the state!

With all of the families in our league, if everyone does a little for that portion of the complex they use the most (including parking areas), the complex will remain an asset for the community for a very long time!

**If you have an interested in helping with any of the tasks that involve NSLL equipment, please contact the Board at board@northsnohomishbaseball.com to arrange a time to get trained on the equipment.
